My passion for horses and the sport of polo is evident in much of my work and I like to think that my polo scenes include some of my best artwork. This aside, I am known for my ability to work across a wide range of subject matter, from copies of the great masters ( Monet, etc ), to a range of abstract and contemporary subjects. I started painting when I was living in South America, seven years ago. It was there that I discovered my passion for working with oils and acrylics and many of my subjects centered around Latin American themes, inspired by the countries and culture of Peru, Brazil, Colombia and Paraguay. In Argentina, I was inspired by the polo scene of Buenos Aires and embarked upon a series of paintings showing local polo clubs and their teams in action. More recently whilst in Spain, my work broadened even further to encompass themes such as bullfight, horse racing and local Spanish architecture. One of my most successful exhibitions was held in Madrid in 2005, which lead to my producing special commissions for key members of the Madrid community, amongst them restaurants, local businessmen and international sports personalities.
