Si Fashion Galerie launches emerging designer comp

‏In support of the young talents, prestigious Si Fashion Galerie organizes special “Fashion Designs Talents” competition, in Dubai. The committee from Si Fashion Galerie, which is a member of the R. V. S. Group, made their choice from 100 designers from around the region, and chose 18 new talented designers from the Middle East, Pakistan, South Africa, Philippines and India, in sizzling summer colours palette.

The competition will start on the 25th May 2011, till 31st July 2011, and aims at combining the best young fashion designers in this field, from the Middle East and Asia to showcase their creativity and craftsman ship through their chic pieces.

“The designs presented each year are different and more mature from the year before, which reflects the increasing number of real talents in the region. We definitely see this competition as an important initiative for enriching the fashion industry in Dubai, as it’s a chance for the local ambitious designers who are keen on showcasing their designs, through an event that brings in big numbers of people working in the fashion industry from media, buyers, investors and of course designers. I believe it’s an interesting chance for those designers to prove themselves as new, productive talents in the fashion industry in the Middle East”, said Mr. Rajeesh Sajnani, the General Manager of R. V. S. group, who noted that they have received big amount of applications to participate in this emerging fashion designers competition.

R. V. S. group aims at having this event initially on yearly basis, with the intention of organizing it properly to be on seasonal basis later on in the near future, with the purpose of providing a classy, latest service in the line of modern fashion and jewelry, keeping the local classical spirit untouched.
“Si Fashion Galerie approach for this event is considered the first in the Emirates, and it aims to compete with other International Fashion competitions, where the organizers there have realized the need to improve such projects to support the

emerging fashion designers” said Ms. Noha Karam, council board member at R.V. S. and the Creative Director for Si Fashion Galerie. She also added that the chosen designers showed very promising talents, and Si Fashion Galerie is looking forward to see their first fashion show stepping ahead towards the international fashion stage.

The “Si Fashion Galerie Competition” aims at showcasing big variety of emerging talented fashion designers in the Middle East, from students to new fashion designers who are looking for perfection and platform in this industry. The competition is an opportunity by itself for fashion industry experts and fashion lovers to have a look at the exclusive and creative work of some of the promising designers, who will also have the chance to build strong business relations and to have their pieces exhibited on special stages at Si Fashion Gallery.

“We believe this competition is part and parcel of sincere interest in improving the local fashion industry, as it’s the case in most of the international fashion activities. Those young designers must have an outlet and an opportunity, and that would be through “Si Fashion Galerie Competition” to showcase their designs” said Mr. Sajnani “As owners and organizers of this event, we feel that we are committed to nourish and grow these young talents from around the region. We have the boutique, the workshop and textile manufacturing, this enables us to offer great benefits to the fashion sector through finding the talented emerging designers and pave the way for them to excellence and fame”, he also added.

The contestants will submit their final work to the judging panel of Si Fashion Galerie that includes prominent figures from the trade, fashion design and fashion media industries along few private business owners.
