FINALIST OF EMIRATI PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION “LIGHTS IN HARMONY” ANNOUNCED

Sorouh Real Estate prepares finalists for next stage of the unique competition

4  June 2009, Abu Dhabi, UAE: Sorouh Real Estate P.J.S.C, in association with Abu Dhabi-based Ghaf Art Gallery and Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH), today announced the nine finalists of the Lights in Harmony photography competition. 

The photography competition was launched by Sorouh last month in an effort to find an up and coming Emirati photographer who will win the prize of helping to build Sorouh’s new brand identity.

The nine finalists are Waleed Hetaish al Jaberi, Maitha Huraiz, Mariam Abdulla al Obaidli, Shaikha A. al Shamsi, Budoor Nabil al Khoory, Khalid Mohammad, Hammas Abdulla al Hammadi, Aisha Jarman and Salama al Mansouri.  

The competition has now moved to the next stage and this week the finalists met Sorouh’s branding agency, Brand Union, who briefed them on the overall Sorouh brand strategy and direction.  The finalists will now produce up to six photographs which represent the company.  These pieces of work will be viewed at Ghaf Art Gallery, in a dedicated exhibition running between 21st and 30th June 2009. The winner of the competition will be given the opportunity to work with Brand Union to produce photographs for use in the company’s new corporate identity.

The final photographs will be judged by local Emirati photographers, Jassim Al Awadhi and Mattar Bin Lahej, gallerist and Emirati artist, Jalal Luqman and Sorouh’s Simon Cunningham, Chief of Sales and Marketing and Paul Middleton, Director of Marketing.
