Mr. Peter Weisz, initiator of this idea:

"We are NGO-non profit organisation who prepars the 1st Culture Olympics, similar to the sport one. Its mean that the National Teams will compete for golden, silver and bronze medal in many Art disciplines, in few Croatian cities in September 2012. Duration of Olympic is 2 weeks, and its will be organised again every second year.

The National teams will be selected by National Boards of Culture Olympics, whom we will nominate. The Board is a selector of the National Team and in the same time jurry on Olympic itself. The Board has to have minimum 5 members, Artists from different Arts disciplines. They will invite the Artists from theirs States to represent State according to the propositions, which we can send you later, in case that You are interested to be a part of this event.

Other task of the Bord is to build up connection with theirs Ministry of Culture (or Government) and to find sponsors – because for participant Artist and jurry had to be covered travel expences to Croatia and back, and 75% of the accomodation cost during the Culture Olympics.

In the meantime, till september 2012, we will organise many cultural events . For this purpose we have on disposal our Gallery in Osijek and have excellent relations with partner cities of Culture Olympics – Vukovar, Križevci, Ludbreg and Fužine, where we can arrange any kind of cultural manifestation. Will be glade to have Yours representatives on any manifestations aswel. Artists from Your State will be invited to participate in various Art colinies ( painters, sculpturs, poetry etc) in those cities. If You have any suggestions please do not hasitate to contact us.

Enclosed we are sending You our Charter with basic informations about idea and mission of the project, Cathegories of Art in which Yours representatives may compete, short list of opignion about project from Croatian Authorities, support letter from International Peace Burreau ( Nobel Prize winner) and a list of States where we already have our National Boards of Culture Olympics. The project is protected as intelectual property of the Author.
