The Fridge @ Al Bastakiya

Wednesday March 21st has shaped up to be a massive day for The Fridge in conjunction with Sikka and we wanted to share with you all of the fantastic things that are happening down at Al Bastakiya.

First up at 5pm, The Fridge will be hosting a panel entitled "Where is music in this regional art scene?". An hour-long discussion that will bring together many key players in Dubai's music scene to wax both philosophical and practical about what can be learnt from the successful and well supported visual arts sector and is there potential for music to succeed to the same extent?

Visual Artist and long-time friend of The Fridge Binu Bhaskar will be premiering his first short-film "Road Song" at 7pm in House 20. It follows the tale of a traveling musician who attempts to track down an old Spanish myth and subsequently discovers the current state of spirits in a small Spanish village.

And to round out the night our monthly Acoustic Songwriters Showcase is picking up stumps and relocating to the picturesque Courtyard C of Al Bastakiya to bring you some of the very best up & coming songwriting talent that Dubai has to offer. Music kicks off just after 8pm and you can scope the full line-up of performers.
