In our latest addition of "Artist in Focus" we have the pleasure to present to you Martinakis Adam. We had a little chat with him and here is what he said, enjoy.

Our talk:
• How did you get involved in the industry?
I was always an artistic soul and studied interior design. At the time of my studies I got involved with 3d presentations and soon when realized how powerful the tool is, I started to use it in personal free artistic projects. Now 3d fine art occupies most of my time.

• What artist or famous quote inspires you and why?
The artist that inspires me mostly is Paul Klee. Although probably my art has no visual connection to his art, I really love his colorful, abstract and vivid vision of life. I am "infected" by him at the roots...

• What tools do you use as an artist?
I am a digital 3d artist, I use 3ds max for the main set of my scenes and the lighting. Then I use Photoshop for the color correction and output of the images.

• Have you ever been to Dubai, would u like too, why?
No, I have never been to Dubai although many people talk a lot about it. It is referred as the miracle city since so many things have changed in such a sort period of time. I would like to visit the city and probably if I have the chance I will.

• What is the most superstar thing that is happened to you?
In 2009 I won an international art competition in Luxembourg and everything started. That was a shocking event for me at the time and gathered much attention. Since then I won 2 other competitions and had more publicity but I guess the first thing is something to remember the most.

• When you're not working or creating, what else do you love to do?
The truth is that I work a lot because I love it, but when I don't, I usually travel, meet other people, spend time with them, dancing - bars the usual stuff...

• Any advice for artists entering the industry?
My advice to someone who wants to get involved professionally into (any) kind of arts, is: just do it without hesitation. Work a lot and show your work to the people. Try to experiment and reveal any kind of fantasies into vision. Someone out there is waiting to see your work, this is a rule. Art is a language and communication, try to get in touch with others through it...
If someone is an artistic spirit this energy will not leave him alone, ever, until it is unleashed.

• What was the most career changing event you've had so far?
The fact that I realized that it is possible to have a living with creating free form art. When I realized that I became more free and emerging as a person. It is really important for someone to find an occupation that he truly loves.

• What was your most memorable artwork and why?
The artwork that gathered the most attention so far is "Last kiss". It is hard to say why because for me it is not the most favorite one, although I enjoy creating every single one of them. I believe the "wire" effect and the romantic thematology made it appealing to the people.

• Any message you would like to give our viewers?
To the artists, I want to say: work as much as you can and be honest with yourself.
To the art lovers: support artists as much as you can. When you see something that you like, never hesitate to express your feelings to the artist, this will make him really happy and will give him the feeling of worthiness. Artists are sensitive souls who can bear critics, even the worst, but they really need to hear also that a creation has touched someone internally. I think that is the whole point, it changes both sides...
