The Fridge is happy to host the second theatre project STAR TOO by Sol Abiad.
What : STAR TOO, Theatre Project
Where: The Fridge, Al Quoz 4, Dubai
When: Every Saturday, from 25th September to 4th December. From 5:00 pm to 7:30pm
STAR TOO is Dubai’s first ever experimental theatre project ceated by Sol Abiad. The pioneering production Where is Home was held at The Fridge last season and has gained a fair success.
For this new workshop, troupe members will acquire performance skills over 10 weeks, engaging on exercises inspired by practitioners such as Boal, Grotowski, Johnstone, Mnouchkine, Spolin.
They will also have the chance to develop original narratives under the guidance of authors, vocal specialists and movement experts who are practicing artists in the local community.
Purposely created on location, two final shows incorporate multi-media and innovate staging, respecting individual talent while focusing on strong ensemble technique.
Fall 2010 theme is: What’s the time.
Cost of the entire workshop: Dhs 2,500
The group size is limited to 15 people.
