Workshop Details

Screenwriting Course
Introduction to Screenwriting. In this introductory session we will cover the general terminology, screenplay format and basic screenwriting concepts.
Writing Workshop: The 3-Act Structure
This basic session will introduce participants to what is the predominant structure of commercial screenplays. In addition, we will cover all the necessary elements required to start writing such as style and writers’ resources.
Film Script Analysis
Prior to this intermediate session participants will be required to read an assigned script and watch the corresponding film. During the session we will analyze the structure of the script and how the script was translated to film. Each session will feature a different script and film and can therefore be repeated. It’s required to have taken either Module 1 or 2 prior to participating.
Genre
This intermediate module will introduce participants to the concept of genre, various genres and their characteristics. Each individual session will cover a different genre and can therefore be taken multiple times. It’s required to have taken either Module 1 or 2 prior to participating.
Masterclass
Once a regular group of participants has been established we can add a masterclass: a weekly session during which two scripts written by participants will be reviewed in depth by the group.
